Nutritional Theories

Every Scientific discipline has theories that its practice is based on. Nutrition interacts with psychology, so the Behavioral theory of Psychology is the basis for changing the eating habits of people to reduce the intake of fats and sugars and carbohydrates. Diseases such as Psoriasis and Diabetes are controlled through diets. With discoveries at the molecular level nutrition is now involved with nutrigenomics. (Bansal, P., Bansal, R., & Arora, M. (2022). Traditional and Advanced Molecular Approaches in Nutrition Research. In Nutriomics (pp. 1-21). CRC Press.)

Norheim, F., Gjelstad, I. M., Hjorth, M., Vinknes, K. J., Langleite, T. M., Holen, T., ... & Drevon, C. A. (2012). Molecular nutrition research—the modern way of performing nutritional scienceNutrients4(12), 1898-1944.

Paradigm shifts occur in every discipline. And the student research report has to be based on some fundamental theory in Nutrition and cited for authenticity.
