WRIT 1102: Science: Getting Started

Step 1 Topic selection

Most times your faculty member will assign a topic. But sometimes coming up with a topic on your own may be daunting. The trick is to keep it as narrow as possible on a particular all-encompassing topic. Example: Environmental Justice. Too broad. But if you focus on: the "Flint water crisis" then it becomes manageable if you narrow it to the chemical process of lead toxicity, the mitigation measures, etc.
