The Reading

The Reflection Question

  • As new students transitioning from the high school routine, perhaps living on campus, joining new clubs or student groups, how might you help our community, and yourself, feel less lonely as you embark on this life transition?
  • Even though this article describes the workplace and how we rebuild culture after the pandemic, there are parallels to the college experience. This is different from being alone. Sometimes we need alone time to refresh and recharge. You can be in a group of people and still feel lonely. Describe in detail the actions you might take for yourself and your classmates over the coming year to prevent loneliness.
