HathiTrust (pronounced 'hah-tee') is a partnership of academic and research institutions, offering a collection of millions of titles digitized from libraries around the world. It provides long-term preservation and access services for public domain and in copyright content from a variety of sources, including Google, the Internet Archive, Microsoft, and in-house partner institution initiatives.

Search Tips

Basic Search:

You can search for phrases by using quotes (e.g., "children's fiction")
Boolean Searching: Use AND and OR (capitalized) between words to combine them with Boolean logic: e.g., (heart OR cardiac) AND surgery will find items about heart surgery or cardiac surgery

Advanced Search:

Allows you to choose whether you are searching for all, any, or the exact phrasing of the words you enter in the search box. It also gives you multiple search fields, including options for choosing the year, format, and language of the document you are looking for.
