Faith & Justice Summer Reading 2023: Welcome

The 7th annual Faith & Justice Summer Reading Group

This reading and discussion program is the result of a partnership between Campus Ministry, Intercultural Education, the Benedictine University Library, and the Center for Benedictine Values.  The program grew out of a desire to continue expanding our knowledge base about faith and social justice issues.  We try to keep the readings short, and the discussion is always lively.  No specialized knowledge is necessary or assumed.

Readings may be accessed by discussion date in this guide.

To Participate

This summer we will meet on Wednesdays 1:00-2:00 CDT/11:30-12:30 MST on Zoom. For our July meeting discussion on Catholic Catolico, we will join Dr. Wilson Chen on a trip to Chicago to immerse ourselves in the place we are discussing.

To register for the Zoom book discussions (only), please fill out this form here. On June 1st, 2023, you will receive your Zoom links for each of the discussions.

To register for the special luncheon in downtown Chicago Pilsen neighborhood on July 26th, please fill out this form by July 19th for your RSVP. We will meet at Benedictine University at 12pm for the event.
